December 14th, 2007 12:40 PM #1hi peeps,
this year lang kasi, nagkaproblema sa lcd; since i brought it back to the store after the warranty lapsed, i had to pay 1.5k to have the lcd replaced. pagbalik sa akin, i noticed that hindi tumatagal beyond 1 week ung batteries, even if i hadn't used it.
Can you recommend some other shops that can repair digicams? nabili ko po to sa Henry's Camera along Hidalgo. i have my reservations about having it fixed again, parang mas gusto ko pang bumili ng entry level cam outright -- naka tatlong balik kasi ako bago naayos ung lcd, it would be my 4th and 5th time kun sakali. hassle e.

I think that's part of the worldwide recall... Send it back to Canon and research about the recall, a couple of my friends had their sensors replaced at no cost (1 in Phil, another in HK).

ganun ba? bring it to canon na lang. 1D4LV posted the address. dun ko rin dinala yung a70 ko nung nagloko (ccd). they loaned me an a520 (newer model, higher resolution) while they were trying to fix it, then eventually offered the a520 as a replacement if i want. pero i still opted for my a70.

i'm now using an eos350d. have been through many canon cameras (ixus ii film, ixus digital, s50, a70, etc) and so far yung a70 lang nagkaproblema (because of a recall).

I am currently researching on the Powershot line, and I found this little tidbit on http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/compacts/a570.htm
POWER
Battery Life and Meter
The A570 has the same overly sensitive low battery warning as the other A-series Canons I've used. It often will flash the red battery symbol or shut down, even if the batteries are fine or new. Don't believe it; keep trying and keep shooting. My 4-year-old Canon A70 has always done the same thing.
Ang tagal na ibinalita yang ban. Tapos warning pa ang ginawa first few days. Yung mga nahuli pa...
