Our appliances [TVs, Refs, etc.] are investments and are affected by fluctuating power and sometimes lightning... What can you recommend to protect them? Hope they are budget friendly...

All my TV's, computers, homeserver, and network equipment are behind a UPS. Also, the outlets going to these equipment have the earth/ground pin connected to real earth.

For UPS and/or surge protectors to work and filter out voltage spikes, it needs a ground connection (the third pin) to send the energy to. So far, after many years (with the server and network operating 24x7), not one equipment has failed due to dirty power.

Our inverter ACs do not have AVRs or UPS, but they're also grounded.

For standard (non-inverter) refs and AC's, a delay-start plug-in device can be used to protect the compressor during short blackouts or brownouts.
