Don't know the right term, pero eto ung no need na mag-dial. Helpful if you leave your laptop and then magdisconnect, automatically magconnect na. Pati pag startup.

Bago kasi modem ko pinalitan kanina ng PLDT, ZyXel. Sabi nung pumunta nakaksira daw ng modem ung automatic kasi legacy pa daw ung line ko

Now I tried to access 192.168.1.1, pero hindi na ma-access. Dun kasi sinet dati nung gumawa ung auto mode ata.

DHCP setting i think is what you are referring. the router/modem will automatically reconnect its connection if it is interrupted or disconnected.
My PLDT DSL have this setting, so i leave my router on 24/7

If its 192.168.1.1 then that must be a linksys router.

This is easy. Reset your linksys router by pressing a small recessed black button located at the back of the unit. Use the Linksys setup cd to setup the sharing of internet connection.

I don't have a router. Modem lang to ng PLDT.

How do I do it? Ung dating pumunta kasi dito ganon ang ginawang setup. Ung pumunta kanina sabi nakakasira daw ng modem un kasi hindi naman daw pang-ganon ung line ko since legacy daw.

Yes the reason you were able to access 192.168.1.1 is bec. the device pldt provided you before is probably a modem/router. This Zyxel is just a modem so you there is no setup screen to access. Same one that I have right now. You always need to dial-up even with a router. Its just the router automatically connects for you instead of you having to dial it manually every time you disconnect. Get a router to share your connection with other pc in your house.

Ayoko nung dialer setup. Gusto ko when I restart connected na agad. Para ma-avoid ung hindi pag-move ng downloads pag nadisconnect and I'm not in front of my laptop

No need na talaga mag dial pag DSL ka. The Zyxel modem provided by PLDT is also acts as a DHCP server. Hindi nakakasira ng modem ang automatic. Kalokohan yan.

Lucius, gumamit ka ng cross-cable, lagyan mo muna ng static IP yung laptop mo ng 192.168.1.2. Walang gateway. Tapos tsaka mo browse http://192.168.1.1. Default username is admin. Password is 1234.

Ang ginawa kong setup sa bahay, bumili ako ng wireless router para yung modem act lang as modem and yung wireless router acts also as the DHCP server, marami pa pwedeng connect and hindi pa wired.
