I wanted to try Spotify's 30-day trial. On my iPhone 5, the Spotify app says "premium cannot be purchased on this app" so what I did was subscribe using my Android phone whose app let me purchase Premium. Long story short, it worked. I got the 30-day trial.

However, on my iPhone, the app tells me that my 7-day trial starts now. Is it really a different duration for an iPhone? Will I still be able to get 30 days free on my Android app?

Nevermind. I got a receipt from Spotify that the trial is 30 days.

I think for iTunes you can play your purchased music in any music player app that supports apple's music file format. For Spotify, you're stuck with its crappy sounding player.
