Oh yeah, is playing FSX any good if I dont have my own joystick?
Well, I noticed in Crysis that Psycho got both ladies while Nomad got stuck with the bad guys, including that big ugly final boss mama that's kicking my butt right now.

I'm gaming a lot at home right now because we all have to attend midnight Mass tonight and everyone's grounded. The wife don't want any excuses from any of us for not going. He He.

As for FSX, buy a joystick for it. A keyboard or gamepad isn't very enjoyable with any flight sim. They may work okay with a racing game. But, that's because a racing game is normally in one plane of travel only. A flight sim/airplane game is full 3d movement. That's why I hated Level 10 in Crysis. It's a rail shooter sequence where I had to "fly" a transport using the mouse. Ugh.

There's this super weapon you're handed with, hit the darn big monster's belly with it. Or am I getting it confused with Warhead. Anyway, in case I did, then just keep looking for RPGs all over the deck. :P

I'll try to get my hands on FSX. Hopefully it runs my system fine.

You're talking about the TAC cannon. I've already taken out the 4 turrets. I'm in that part where I have to hit the belly. But, I'm out of other ammo and the smaller aliens are all over the place with blasters and freeze rays draining my armor and power constantly.

I'm playing at the hardest (Delta) difficulty setting. Unfortunately, everytime I resume the game from a custom save, the extra ammo are lying around in a different place.

I may have to start over the chapter.

Finally........ I can say to my nephews I beat Crysis at Delta difficulty setting before they did. He He He

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

No screenie of that mad dash to the transport after I blew up the belly. Everytime I took my attention away from running my character got killed.

Now that's done, I can go back to the first six levels and enjoy where Crysis shines the best.

I also had to turn down my sound settings to low because all that multi-channel thundering sound was too much for my cheapo Realtek sound. The game kept crashing at the same part. I also dialed screen res down to 1280x768 just in case. But frame rates throughout was fine.

    hehe, merry christmas.

If only every kid is as grateful as this kid.

There's this other parent who made his kid read the geneva convention before letting him play modern warfare 2.

Sir exact specs po. What kind of processor?

Core 2 Duo ba, Pentium Dual-Core, or Athlon X2? Not everything is dictated by clock speed.

And more imporantly, GPU model sir. This one's much more complicated. It's really about the model numbers and not the memory per se. There are core clocks and shader clocks to be considered, stream processors and bus widths to be counted. So to best gauge your GPU's performance, look up the benchmarks :D

Pacific Fighters and X-Plane 9 should run okay so long as there's not too many clouds. But, I wouldn't play them without a joystick since they're both flight sims.

The original Homeworld space RTS should run fine too.

Rome: Total War might run okay depending on what your gpu is.

Battlefield 1942 should run fine too.

Combat Flight Simulator 2 might run okay too. I remember it ran on a P3 with a 32mb nVidia TNT2.

If they're that young, I don't think I'd let them play shooters just yet, at least not until they're teens. Good thing I have daughters, I guess. My daughter prefers her DS to any of the next-gen consoles.
