pros :
mp3 player with very good audio functions, 3gp and mp4 video player with 64 mb ms duo pro card
2 megapixel camera with AUTOFOCUS and macro mode and video
cons (compared to 6680)
cannot install apps as powerful as 6680

W800i
pros : same as K750i + 512 mb ms duo pro + music only mode (no fon mode) w/c can prolong battery life to ~20 hours (flight mode tawag nila sa P900) + bundled with medium end fontopia headset and 35 mm jack adapter.
cons : parehas ng K750i, cannot install high end apps, but can still add java apps and games. Games are good, splinter cell 3D, tennis and footbal games. wla pa akong nakikitang basketball eh.

If you are going to take advantage of smartfon functions gaya ng PDA style contact list, applications at 3G functions (streaming media, wala pa naman sa atin to, at kahit sa HK, di pa masyado gamit), then go for 6680. 6680 is using nokias series 60 UI. To sum it up, this is a powerful fon pero you need to make it powerful.

If you are looking for a "immediate out of the box" phone with video and audio centric stuffs, no apps installation needed, then go for K750i. or better yet, go for W800i, dagdag ka siguro ng mga 300 ~ 500 HKD, medyo out of stock na kasi eh. Yung 500 na yun will give you higher memory (512mb), flight mode/mp3 only mode and very good earfon and jack adapter.
I assure you, from my point of view, this fons, K750i and W800 has the better user interface at yung kabagalan dun sa mga nauna nilang fon, wala na sa mga models na to. Also, take note, the cam is 2 mp autofocus, parang digital cam.

I had nokias from their 5 series to 3210 hanggang 6230i and, 6630 (which is almost same as 6680), but I never got to realize 6630's "smartfon" potential, binenta ko na, at bumili ako ng W800i....am glad to say, I am very satisfied. W800i reallt rocks!

my wife got the K750i sa globe business center for 20,200 plan500 and 24months lock-out, 1 year parts and service ... so far so good, ganda ng radio and 2MP camera nya

So the price should be around 4480~4580, asuming 512 mb ms duo pro cost around 500~600 HKD.

Regarding wav, not sure, havent tried. Yung record function ng W800i is using AMR. Why use wav?masyado malaki yung file pag wav, you can use a converter to encode it to MP3, thats what I did with my 6230i ringtones before, and am using those tones again on my W800i.

torpe, good deal na yan, lalo na at nagkakaubusan ng unti jan sa HK. But if you can get it from an SE shop (fortress and broadway and other shops are selling it at 4280, but SE or sony shops sell it retail price of 3980), and at the price of 3980, buy the 1gb mem stick duo pro seperately which is selling at 900HKD at sony shops also. You will wind up with ~ 4880 HKD also, pero mron ka ng 512 mb, mron ka pang 1gb! Thats what I did. Mas maganda may extra kang memstick dahil sigurado pupunuin mo ng MP3 files yung 1gb, tapos ung 512mb, you will put in anime movies and the remaining free space as spare for your photos!

2.) I know I can get better deals if I paid in full and went to Greenhills. But aren't the units in GH, parallel imports (meaning unauthorized import and distribution) therefore are not eligible for warranty by the phone manufacturer's local office?
3.) Can anyone recommend reputable shop(s) or dealer(s) selling the SE 750i at very good price and warranty honored by the local office of Sony Ericsson?

*number001, try SEMICON . they are the prime distributors of Nokia and SE phones since 98? I may be wrong. Please dont buy from "Games and Gadget" - i bought my K700i there last year and after 1 month i had problems with the joystick? ... plus they are not authorized dealer for SE phones.
