But Wii has a lot more fun factor than the PS3 (which has very limited number of games) or the Xbox (which dies after a short while when it shows the 3 rings of death, less than a year).

As per the graphics, if you don't have HDMI or HD, and use a regular CRT monitor for the Wii, it's no big deal. Actually, my best friend has a Wii connected to an Samsung HD LCD. Ok naman and sobrang fun to play! In fact, I usually go there to play Wii!

BTW, I suggest that you buy a unmodified US Version of the Wii as modifying the console has the probability that it would turn to a brick, when Nintendo issues an update, normally included in some games. US Version games are available at Data Blitz. Where to buy? Madami sa Greenhills but I don't know if they have an unmodded US version. Ask someone in the US to buy for you kung pwede, since mas mura naman dun. Tapos dito ka na bumili ng accessories and games. But then again, suggestion lang po.

Ask somebody to buy for you? hehehe lagi nga out of stock dito eh. I agree, a friend of ours brought her Wii to our place at sobrang saya talagang laruin nakaka addict. But we got a PS3 dahil gusto ko talaga ang graphics at may build in Blu-ray na.

Yep, US version has language settings for english and other languages.... The japanese version is purely in japanese :sad: (cheaper pa naman). i hope they resolve this, cause i'm contemplating buying a console soon. The PS3 on the other hand is completely region free meaning it can play any games from any part of the world (except movie dvds and bluerays) plus it has additional language settings.

ok ang Wii and its fun 2 play talaga.kung gusto mo dito sa US bumili ng Wii medyo limitado ang unit, nung bumili ako ng Wii sa TARGET 20 lng ang sa bawat TARGET STORE tapos pila pa ang bumibili. halos isang oras lng naubos na. sa BEST BUY,WAL MART at kahit saang tindahan dito hirap makabili, laging ubos. Ang bili ko 6 months ago halos $300 w/ accessories and games. And last Nov.22(Thanksgiving day) ang bilis din naubos, maganda talaga kasi and its fun. At tama si RUSSPOGI mura dito saka mababa pa ang $ ngayon.

We have three consoles.

Wii, 360 and PSP. But I like the 360 better because of the games. I love driving games kasi.

But for games that are sport-related, ok na ok ang Wii! So much fun. Sumakit lang talaga katawan ko from playing Ping Pong and Boxing. To add a little bit more, sa Wii dapat sanay ka magbago ng new controls. Interactive kasi so everytime you play a new game, you have to memorize new steps etc.

So far ok pa naman, but we can never say in the future updates.... Always exercise caution, kasi wrong updates can brick your system completely...

No. Once its bricked motherboard na yan, and no one can repair damaged motherboards anymore.

The software is stored in a chip in the motherboard which is attached to the motherboard itself. Basta once mali update mo brick na yan....

You wouldn't know unless you open up the unit or ask the person you bought it from.... And yes dapat malaman mo ano modchip mo kasi yung modchips mismo may firmware update yan. Sometimes there are games that don't work if your firmware is old like Super Mario Sunshine for example...
