For me, it was Wii Sports and Zelda. Super Mario Galaxy is coming this spring.

For the PS3, it is supposed to (and still is) Killzone 2, MGS 4 and Assasins Creed. I'm just playing Resistance to tie me over until that one is finally released.

For the 360, Call of Duty 2 wasn't bad (I bought it back in May), but I would definitely say that Gears of War is its killer app for 2006...and until Halo 3 comes out.

    wii injuries...

If you thought all those TVs getting damaged by errant Wiimotes were bad, take a look at the woman above. Here's how it happened. A guy comes home drunk and sees his girlfriend fighting a Zelda boss. He grabs the controllers to help her out, but when she approached from a 4 o'clock vector, he swung back and gave her an eye-full of Nintendo goodness. Classy.

We're not really sure that there's much more to say about the Wiimote that we (har) haven't said before, other than it can cause damage to anything valuable in your gaming arena, such as your television, window, beer glass, or PDA -- did we miss anything? Well, let's record little Jacob here as the very first Wii-related injury into the record books. According to the account provided on Wii Damage, a new site devoted to all things getting busted due to the faulty Wiimote strap, Jacob was among a trio of kids in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina settling down to a nice, pleasant game of Wii Baseball over Thanksgiving weekend. Jacob's cousin Abby was settling into the batter's box, and as the pitch came down she gave it a Bondsian swing, sending the Wiimote flying straight at her cousin, who was standing nearby -- sustaining a pretty good-lookin' welt to the face. Now if you'll excuse us, we need to go find our high school football helmet so we can get our Wii on safely.

Red Steel is a good game to start if you want an action game. You control your sword and gun thru the wiimote and nunchuks.

I played the Wii sports, my nephew has one.

I'm a bit disappointed on the graphics. Akala ko din medyo may paka-reality ang paglalaro. Example, sa baseball you dont have to throw it that hard to pitch 94mph. You can literally just move your wrist and it goes to 94mph. Sa tennis naman, iwasiwas mo lang ang nunchuk at tatamaan mo na ang bola lagi.

The advertisements of Wii in the US is geared toward adults. As an adult, I was easily bored playing it after trying all the Wii sports games (bowling, baseball, golf, boxing, tennis).

Its a very good console for kids who are sedentary or may physical disability sa sports. With Wii console, its the closest to reality that they could play with.

In my opinion, its fun to play with (for an hour) but not worthy to own. Its ideal for kids I believe.

I'm glad I didnt buy one, Id rather borrow my nephew's DS lite :evillaugh

Now, EB Games store offers a 50% off on X360 if I trade my PS2, hmmmm
