Sony releases a Walkman for its 4th anniversary – WGN-TV

I couldn't understand these people walking or biking with their earphones on. It makes them oblivious to their surroundings. There have been a lot of cases where people died in accidents because of this.

Kinda moot, when the Walkman as we knew it, died when MP3s became a thing. The final nail in the coffin was when the first iPod came out in 2001. The Walkman brand, although remained for their sub-par digital MP3 players and trademarked into early Sony mobile phones, it was never the same, though through no fault of Sony. But I do fault them for stopping to innovate and let their guards down to allow a computer manufacturer called Apple take over the music distribution industry.

Anywho, I remember owning 2 Walkmans and an Aiwa from the 80's. Since maybe the mid-90's, all my cassette tapes have either been given away, misplaced, lost, or gathering dust or mold.
