Aside from tape, quick fix is by asigning static ip.

dd-wrt's repeater-bridge is a good option. Its a low-cost alternative to directional radio transceivers sold in quiapo.

I have mine running with no problems. You just have to be patient flashing the router, i did 5 resets just to flash my WRT54G v5. Low-cost but effective, uses only 1 network ip. Tip:enable MAC filtering aside from wireless security as a double protection against identity-theft.

If you dont like re-flashing and dont want to risk bricking your router, you may use some soho routers that offer repeater-bridge function.
