I have gone to SM and Ayala here in Cebu, where there are 2 stores offering the CISS conversion- Star Ink and iColours... the prices are as follows: for Star Ink- 2,200.00 for the CISS plus 4 additional inks with 6 months free service warranty, while 2,000 for the CISS, no additional inks, and only 3 months service warranty.... On the other hand, I have also called InkWell and their offer is 1,500 CISS conversion, no additional ink, and 1 month service warranty....

It appears that Star Ink has a better offer, but there is only 1 Star Ink Store in Cebu and I am afraid what if it would pull-out its business in Cebu, just like INK-FOR-LESS....

My questions are: Has anyone tried Star Ink? Are the inks sold from iColours and InkWell compatible with or similar to that of Ink Star? Finally, are the these inks - dye or pigment?

Are Canon printers, more particularly E610, using Dye or Pigment Inks?

Your doubts against StarInk should also be the same as with others offering the same product.. Kahit ano man piliin mong brand or company, there would always be risk na pwede silang mawala.. Its beyond your control..

With regards sa ink, as per experience sa ciss, kung saan mo pinaconvert yung printer mo dun mo na din dapat kukunin mga inks mo.. Never mix them even if you find a cheaper ink.. Or you'd regret it. Kaya dapat consideration mo din yung refill inks when choosing your ciss...

As per observation, cheaper ciss package have inferior quality inks compare to those "branded" ones..

With regards to dye vs pigment, i believe there are options depending on your needs.. But prices may vary.. Better ask them..

^agree. Yan pagkakamali ko. Nagpakabit kami ink all you can. Tapos nakakita ako generic type na ink. Ayun. Nagkaleche leche na. Although issue rin yung naiipit yung hose habang nagpprint. Kung malakas ka gumamit sulit yan. Ang tagal gamitin ng 100ml na ink

sir you might want to consider the l100 series of epson printers...out of the box may ciss na. i think may newer models na...mas reliable and durable from my experience. bought mine 2012 and still going strong. 4 o 5k ata nabili back then. just finished printing 250+ 4r pics a few days ago of a recent trip. tried conversions before...naka-tatlong printer ako bago natuto. none lasted for more than a few months. i bought the kits and converted it myself. yung mga murang ink dye based yan. good enough naman wag lang mabasa. if yung waterproof glossy photopaper gamit mo, ok na din kahit mabasa. yun lang pag matagal hindi nagamit yung printer/hindi maganda yung ink at may suspended particles/mainit yung pinaglagyan ng printer, bumabara yung print head. nauubos oras ko kalilinis at kaa-align ng printhead. minsan matagal pa yung pag-aayos kesa sa printing mismo. kalokohan na. this is for epson printers though na hiwalay head sa cartridge. haven't had experience with canon printers. cartridge kasi niyan nakakabit na mismo sa print head so i'm thinking pag bumara, replace pati head? e mahal print head. also consider yung volume ng piniprint mo...baka hindi mo din masulit at matuyo lang yung ink sa mga tubes...

Actually I already have that Epson L100 CISS na sya, but it has no ADF (Auto Document Feeder) which is my Canon E610. I will buy another printer, like the Brother counterpart, I would have several printers already and I would be costly since I have to shell out around 12k for the Brother printer....while converting my Canon E610 costs only 2,200.....
