May 21st, 2007 12:55 PM #1sobrang init sa amin....imagine, pinagpapawisan ako habang naliligo. kaya we decided to buy an a/c. so far ito na nacheck namin sa waltermart...
Samsung 1hp digital 830watts (with anti-bacteria) = 14.5k
Samsung 1.5hp digital 1135watts (with anti-bacteria) = 16.6k
Carrier 1.25hp digital 1004watts (with anti-bacteria) = 18k
Condura 1.25hp digital 991watts = 16.7k
any feedback on these brands? Is it true na same company lng ung Carrier and Condura? we're leaning towards samsung coz of the lifetime cleaning warranty and cheaper price. kaya lng hindi namin sure ung durability. Korean company pero Made in China sya.
ano nga pala recommended HP for a 20sqm room? at saan mas mura bumili?
Thanks

To be safe, go for 2HP. Yung bedroom namin, about 12 sqms, hindi kaya palamigin ng .75hp na Samsung.
Matibay din ang Samsung. Going 6 years na yung sa akin, hindi pa rin bumibigay ni minsan.
But the durability of the Carrier/Condura line is legendary

don't you want to include panasonic in your list?
i suggest get the 1hp panasonic pref with timer sa 20m2 room.
yun nga lang di nalalayo sa carrier ang price.
luckily malapit kami sa western mktg warehouse in sfdm q.c.

May 22nd, 2007 02:26 AM #5Yung sakin carrier wala pa two years bumigay na fan motor. sabi ng technician bushing type na raw ang carrier ngayon unlike before na bearing type mas matibay kasi ang bearing type. They change it daw to lower the cost of the unit to compete sa mg naglalabasang bagong brand ng aircon.

kunin mo lang iyong pinakatamang HP para sa iyo. overkilling your AC setup is money down the drain. yes mabilis lumamig ang aircon pag mataas ang HP pero pagdating sa minimum consumption mas mataas ang kakainin na consumption ng overkill AC mo kaysa sa dun sa tama lang na setup.

Yung Kolin, no drip. Yun nga lang, medyo mahal. Yung .75HP (dig./RC) namin, inabot ng almost P16K.

May 22nd, 2007 04:20 PM #9nung nag search ako san net 1.5hp is good for 18-24sqm na kwarto.
ndi ko lang maintindihan kung bakit floor area ang pinagbasehan. ndi ba dapat yung total amount of space (volume) ng kwarto? paano kung same floor area pero mataas ang ceiling?

depends also how many will occupy the room most of the time.
kung bedroom lang 1 hp a/c is enough. hirap ito kung may ref sa loob which
is not advisable ang lakas kumain ng cold air yan at sigurado taas ng electric
consumption.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
