I just got an N73 that came with an anti-virus program, F-Secure Anti-Virus, that was pre-installed but not activated. (Their web site is http://mobile.f-secure.com/nokia/mm/). Tanong ko lang kung may gumagamit nito, o kung kailangan talaga ng anti-virus software para sa Symbian OS cellphone.

If the program isn't needed, would it be sufficient to not accept or open suspicious attachments or files sent by MMS to the phone?

it's a precautionary measure if you surf a lot via gprs. i think it also safeguards you from the mms viruses.

pero kung di ka masyado nag mms or within family group lang mms nyo, no need yan.. plus alwayz hide/turn-off your bluetooth in public-->dyan talaga ang causes ng virus..dont accept anything lalo na sa di pamilyar sa yo...

Same here bro. It's installed but I never activated it.

Just do not turn-on/show your phone via bluetooth in public. Delikado iyan.....

    (Pero sa Europe,- it's a come-on for an 'affair'.....Oopppssss..... )

mas threat pa ang bluetooth accpeted files kaysa sa MMS-->mms 100kb lang,e... ang virus di lilit ng 100kb.. totoo nakakabagal ang anti-vi, pero yang kasama ng nokia trial version lang yan,e...

hide, secure or turn-off wifi/bluetooth sa pda/pocket pc phone mo.. nga pala, un maganda sa non symbian os-phones--> di prone sa virus(ex. nokia series50 os phones like 6230 and 6230i...) ang delicado are series 60 v1-3, windows mobile at palm...

Oh, I see. In that case, I'll just leave the anti-virus deactivated since I don't surf using the cellphone anyway nor accept "strange" bluetooth requests. I-on ko na lang bluetooth ko pag nasa Europe ako
