September 29th, 2011 09:38 PM #1This is my daughter's laptop which only lasted for more than a year, bought last May 2011.
Mahina talaga MSI, my Toshiba which i bought last 2009 is still working without any problem...
I took the risk of buying MSI kasi medyo mura and mataas ang specs. sadly di sya tumagal...
Bigla na lang nag shutdown while using it, then ayaw na mag boot, blank screen na lang.
I'll be visiting gilmore tomorrow to have this fix. Anyone who have a trusted contact there?
Thanks

ang sira daw is yung voltage controller. papalitan daw ang motherboard which will cost me 10,950.

San ba galing yung MSi? Taiwanese brand ba yun or local?
Seriously, kung ang cost ng replacement part is very cost prohibitive, wag nalang palitan. Ang presyo ng replacement part is ALMOST equivalent to buying a new laptop.
In my case, my laptop's (HP) battery died after a year plus it gets freakin slow. I've billed an estimate to HP and they charged me P9,000 for a replacement battery!! In that case that I use my laptop inside the house (rarely do I take it outside except for school usage) i just use the adaptor. It was a classmate of mine told me that buying that replacement would cost me more than getting a decent new laptop.
Actually, pag bumili ng laptop, wag padadaan sa presyo at features.

Methinks the Battle of Carthage scene in Russel Crowe's Gladiator (yr. 2000) is a homage to that...
