Looking for free encrytion software for portable drive

Hi guys,

i recently bought a maxtor passport-size 160 gb portable drive. i notice na wala itong encryption (password protection) software na kasama unlike sa mga smaller capacity usb flashdisks ko e.g. imation & kingston. mayroon ba kayong alam na free downloadable password protection software for this size of drive similar sa flashdrives (for password protected hidden directory or access password)?

I use Truecrypt. free.

I have not thoroughly read the documentation but are you using it on a portable drive and can it be opened in any computer with different OS?

I'm using it on a Buffalo Brand 500gb portable drive. I haven't tried it on other OSs but I guess you have to install the software on other computers as well. I just saved the installer on an unencrypted space in my portable drive in case I have to open it elsewhere.

I haven't read the documentation though so di ko alam kung may on-the-fly (no install) authentication feature itong Truecrypt.
