We've had one Samsung model, ang sabi 5 kilometer radius range. Kaso dapat pala niliwanag nila pag sa bukid mo gagamitin. Hindi effective yung frequency range pag maraming dead spots like buildings. Kaya yung range nung sa amin within Manila ay naging less than 2kms. lang.

Nilagyan rin namin ng aerial antenna lampas bubong kaso hazy sound pa rin parang mistuned dial AM station.

I can supply you one including the installation. You can also see the units that I'm using. This is not a generic unit but really a long range phone. Yung binangit ni Ungas na range ng Samsung eh based yun sa open, flat space. Call/SMS me for details 9178977080

Bought a Samsung (kuno, kasi wala yung model sa officeal website ng Samsung) from a chinese guy from Sta. Cruz. Sa forums ko lang nalaman yung item.

It was priced P3.8k then, had the antenna installed at the roof and within Las Pinas, okay naman yung reception.

Downside is, yung battery (although Li-ion yung nakasulat) eh parang ni-cad ang characteristics.

For me, it served it's purpose.

meron din kami samsung 'kuno' na long range phone. nasa bahay yung base, yung aerial antenna is around 40ft high.

yung handheld nasa office (walang landline dun), i removed the built in extendable antenna and instead put a coaxial cable connected to a mobile antenna (pang cellphone), also around 40ft high.

the distance from our house to the office is 7-8kms. may time na medyo scratchy pero ok naman. palagi nga lang nakakabit sa charger yung handheld.

We have the Samsung dual-handset 100km model installed in our house in Bacolod. Bought it for P6k from huge888 sa BNC forum. The antenna is installed on top of our 50ft VHF radio antenna. So far, covered naman citywide Bacolod. My dad just has to go out of buildings to place a call. We also tried from our resthouse sa Mountains about 40km away from our subdivision, kaya pa rin.

pareng zero, hindi mo mapapablock yan. dahil for one, walang mga IMEI yan o walang SIM. it is like your PLDT landline extension. basically, di rin magagamit yan ng makakadampot o dudukot. kung wala o malayo na sa kanya yung base. actually, pag nawala yan sa iyo, uwi ka lang, angatin mo yung kabilang aparato mo and pag inangat ng sumikwat yan, dun mo kausapin. parang intercom. hehehehe.

guys: m still getting updated price coz last year pa ako bumili. Mahirap i-base yan sa range coz open space and flat area ang basis nito. Check how much yung power nung base, kung may amplifier and of course the handset. Yung kay wiretap I think is what I have. I use 3 units. Each set consists of a base, amplifier, aerial antenna and the handset
