the cdrking 9w LED bulb costs 280 pesos. baka naman rebranded CDRKing bulbs or china bulbs yun. suspicious ako sa low price
what's the lumen rating of these cheap GES 9w bulbs? ang normal 700+ pesos and 5 year warranty nasa 810 lumens for 9w

sa divisoria kanina andon akon particularly sa 168 mall....daming nagbebenta ng LED light.
ok kaya yung mga yun?
I was at True Value yesterday and it seems that Philips released new LED bulbs (naka box instead of the usual plastic casing). If i read the price right, P 350+ each.
bumili na ako GES 9w at MC Home Depot in Ortigas. 280 petot
Let see kung tatagal sya, on the average mga 10 hours a day ito bukas
mas maliwanag mga T5 na LED kahit na 20W lang. But downside, it is still too expensive.
Tried a 7W GES 4th gen LED and a 23W Firefly CFL. Power consumption is 6.8 vs 22.7 respectively although nagbabago kunti. Mas maliwanag pa nga LED imho. Pero ciempre firefly kasi, kung GE or Philipps baka iba. Mahina talaga focus at firefly na brand eh.
1. i still prefer cfl's because its fun to repair them(as a hobbyist). Any cfl can be repaired, except Philips because of the smt components.
2. i find repairing leds boring. the technology is in the led module, however, it is much simpler than cfl's. no oscillator circuits to content with.
3. the best advantage of leds is that they can be dimmed. and yes, if the modules are available in raon, then it is fun to build your own, and much cheaper, too.
4. kahit na boring, still want to build my own led lamps if the modules are available locally. laking bawas sa mga commercial types
5. syempre, the main factor to convert to led's is that they contain less toxins like mercury and their ability to be used for 12v operation; a boon to households with solar diy system. (Led's are here to stay)
^naka-sale yan ngayon sa sm. but i bought a different one kasi 3 watts lang hanap ko and those are 5 watts leds. i ended up buying a couple of 3.5 watt omni candle leds. it's for my 2 daughter's lamp shades.
And if you will notice, mababa masyado rated life nung Philips. 15k hours lang compared to 40-50k hours ng ibang brands.
The CFLs in our house are typically 5W, 8W, 11W, 14W - depending on where I use them.
And so, I only buy 1W, 2W, 2.5W LED lights to replace them.... Big (operational) savings....
Pin lights and other decorative lights,- they will have to wait.... (or I will have to wait...)
