    totoo ba na mas matipid sa kuryente ang lcd tvs kaysa sa mga lumang tv na hindi lcd?
    just curious kung totoo

    Yes. For the same size TV, LCD consumes less.

    ah..okay akala ko mas malakas kasi
    naka bili kami ng bagong samsung 32 inches lcd nakasulat sa likod 120 watts
    while yung pinalitan namin na jvc na hindi lcd 21 inches 66 watts lang

    ^^^120W is on a full-bright operation. Typically, it will be just around 80W depending on your setting.

    Also, although it consumes less electricity, it is not that significant, for the same set size, IMO.....

    LED tv prices are going down. you'd get LEDtv at prices of LCDs last year.
    32in LED tvs now are in the 25k price range from LG and samsung.
