laptop for student

I need to buy a laptop for my daughter. Criteria: max 4 lbs, prefer Win 7, max 14 inch screen, ideal is 13.3 inch screen, prefer expandable ram or can replace ram if needed. What do you think of the following:

This one is also worth a look para sa student... pa upgrade mo na diretso to 4 GB then i haggle mo lang na 20,000 flat para payment sa additional memory.

Sa mga notebooks at that price range usually the max upgradable memory is 4 GB.

I would suggest the following:

The lower priced version use the AMD E-series processor which I feel is rather slow for today. It was fast when it first came out in the netbooks but for today, I feel a few pesos more is worth getting the difference in performance. So choosing the one with the dual core Intel CPU is a better package even if you have to pay a bit more.

Also upgrade it right away to 4GB RAM. 2GB is barely sufficient for MS Windows and a few programs. Additional RAM is quite cheap and is a quick way to maximize the capability of a computer.

I suggest you go check other computer shops selling the same laptop because price and packages (freebies like "free 2GB ram upgrade") can differ between stores.

I suggest you get the lenovo ideapad. I bought an asus before and it is giving me headache right now.
