A la niņa watch has been issued in most countries in the pacific region and other regions as well. PAGASA has yet to issue a statement. We are still in the last few months of el niņo.

    Historically, (my limited research)
Ondoy 2008 was a post Elniņo event
Yolanda 2013 was a pre Elniņo event

2015-2016 was the hottest year on record, with a longer elniņo cycle. We might have a couple of years with heavy rains/typhoons. Worse is the very heavy to severe rains that may occur.

Lets think of the positive pag la nina.

What food crops, ornamental plants, punongkahoy thrive in a rainy season.

    Minor catastrophe noted. Lol

The agricultural industry actually might be ok in a few months. But typhoons can also damage crops once that season comes which is September
