my logiteech wireless keeyboard's "e" double-clicks, when i type "normally". i have to backtrack and erase the extra "e".
i am wondering, is there some user-doable fix here?
or am i fated to purchase a replacement keyboard?

    at the back,
    K345 logitech.
the other lyrics were simply too small to read without a microscope.

can it be taken apart, cleaned, and re-assembled, without the need for special tools and training?

Looks like it's not a mechanical keyboard. You might need to take it apart and clean the contacts.

Mechanical keyboards allow replacement of individual keys. Wireless mechanical keyboards are expensive though.

can it bee repaired by the so-called keyboard reepairman at the mall?

    i mean,
some of these folks will say "yes-we-can" to 'most anything, even as they have no idea how to do it...

but if it is a "throw-away child"...

You can try. It's on its way out anyway.

Do you really need a wireless? If not there are lots of reasonably priced wired mechanical options. If they can survive my sons' fat fingers they can survive anything.

I am using a wireless mechanical though so that option is still available if you really need it.

my wireless keyboard at home, is a hand-me-down from my son's. it felt better than the old, cheap wired one that it replaced.

my personal wired keyboard in my office tabletop, is a more expensive mechanical keyboard that my son says is prefered by some gamers.
i specifically askeed for mechanical, as it felt like the ancieent IBM electric typewriters that seerviced me during much of my professional life.

That is a common Logitech issue ... claiming warranty is useless ... had same experience with a G413 supposedly a "gaming" keyboard ... keys flaked after 2 weeks of use ... double spacing key ... never buying Logitech again ...

Next time, buy keyboard with hot swappable switches ...

You may try to blow air into it.
    - if you have a 2-way (suck/ blow) vacuum cleaner
    - a large blower like the Giotto Rocket blower
    - using a can of compressed air
    - blowing really hard on the underside of the affected key.

If those didn't work, or the issue still randomly manifests itself, try using a contact cleaner.
Make sure to choose something that is inert to rubber and/or silicon.
Some solvents may bloat, shrink or dry out rubber or silicon.

Baka magustuhan mo to Doc. It's a local brand kaya mura. Then just buy a bunch of switches pamalit kung sakali masira. Although yung akin hindi pa naman nasisiraan ng keys more than one year na.

Yung logitech wireless keyboard & mouse , monitor and speaker phone for conference call na ginagamit ko sa house libre lang from office : happy

Nung pandemic, they allow yung mga employee with office issued laptop to buy and claim as part ng company well being initiative. Working pa naman lahat and di na need ibalik sa office since its expense and claim only.

Key replacement is only possible with hot swappable mech keyboards like Royal Kludge RK84. It's wireless with BT and dongle and can be connected with usb-c. Relatively cheap compared to Keychron and other expensive gamer mech keyboards.

The Royal Kludge is available at any DataBlitz stores and at Lazada/Shopee.

My personal recommendation is Keychron K2. It's 2x more expensive than the Royal Kludge though.

HyperX mech keyboards are good too.

    biglang tumino ang keyboard ko.
nalaman siguro niyang malapit na siyang palitan...

My cousin had those Rakk mech keyboards. Some keys experienced ghosting. Pretty much the same quality with Redragon cheap mech keyboards. Not built to last.

Careful. Most contact cleaners uses strong solvents as propellant and can melt or cause plastics to become very brittle.
