    PS3 doesn't generate that much heat compared to xbox360.

    Althought I used my PS3 for Bluray movies only. I have to turn on my electric fan for the xbox360. I have encountered the 3 red light already.

    btw, xbox 360 internal fan is noisy + the electric fan noise = turn up the volume.

    ps3 is quieter.

    Not necessary, but it's a good idea to prolong the life of your system.

    waste of money.. save the money to buy new games instead..

    i'm an avid video gamer and use the PS3 for blu-ray movies as well. no problem encountered so far...
