akala ko, they drop when they introduce new chip. like what happened to hyper thread when pentium d and dual core arrived...

December 23rd, 2008 06:03 AM #44 months palang after intel announced it. myroon na pala sa atin. the Intel Core i7 920 costs 14k. cheaper than Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83Ghz which is more less 16k.

but for desktop 3D/video projects, I think mas maganda parin quad-cores. intel really makes a good strategy on running a long lasting business. i7 is only good for multi-tasking leaving the multi-cores behind. but for rendering, processing, mas lamang pa ang multi-cores. so kahit may i7, quad-cores will stay on the market side-by side with i7.
kung Photochop, dreamweaber, plash running the same time, maganda i7.
kung Photscop, 3dmaxx, fremier, after effeks rendering, mas maganda parin quad-cores...
kung web surfing, downloading, pentium 4 ok na.
