    Have not experienced it yet.

If no phone number (or the caller's name) appears, it's a call from overseas or local private line.

This happens when I receive calls from overseas. But the usual display on my phone is "uknown".

Some landline services have no number tracking. I get that sometimes.

yun calls kasi from abroad doesn't have to send the A number. it stays in the central office of origin if charge or in the destination exchange if collect ang call for billing purposes. wiht regards to local calls that doesn't appear sa callid ninyo, may clir feature that is use para di maka call back yun customer in case the csa use their private numbers. some government officials request this for security reasons but only given on a case to case basis kasi ma defeat yun purpose ng callid.

In my experience, even calls made from cellphones or landlines, from overseas, specific to the US, do not register their caller-ID on my Smart phone.

yeah, often times, when my wife calls me sa local cellphone number ko dito, its either "anonymous" o "no number" ang nagrereflect. minsan "1111111" naman. i guess its the same thing pag ako din tumatawag sa pinas.

it would be useless to send the A (calling) number if the call is from abroad. it would just clogged up the signaling channel.

Wondering about this as well.. If my mom calls me from HK, her number appears on my display, but if my sister calls me, no number lagi (both in HK).

Same with Singapore, some numbers appear, some don't.

maybe different network, but if same network, yung option na SENDING MY CALLER ID is selected to YES or SET by netowrk sa mom mo then sa sis mo is selected to NO.

dito sa pinas naka default ito sa SET BY NETWORK, pag change mo sa NO pagdial mo operator maririnig mo, ur number can not be completed if dialled kasi my prefix number eto bago ung original na number...

ung equivalent code sa HIDE ID or NOT SENDING ID is #31# AFAIK

by doing this #31#0919XXXXXXX it will not send ID applicable lang sa labas na may option to call and hide their ID...

sir THEVEED try mo daw tell ur sis to call u with the prefix *31# sample *31#639XXXXXXXXXX if lalabas ung number niya.... pero dpende rin... kasi when im in taiwan i used to do it kasi sometimes lilitaw ung ID ko minsan din hindi dpende sa network, set to YES send ID..
