Yes. I'm disappointed. You of all people. j/k

    1. copy YouTube Video url.
    2. Go to keepvid.com
    3. paste YouTube url, download, click on save link that appears.
    4. This will save YouTube video as get_video with no extension.
    5. Rename get_video to blah.flv
    6. Download and install Free YouTube To iPod Converter
    7. It'll convert the .flv as an iPod mp4 (also PSP and cellphone)

Add: You can find an flv player if you don't want to convert to iPod mp4.

This is how I got the full 1st season of Starblazers.

For various episodes in several segments, I used Ulead Video Studio 10 Plus (or any commercial video editor with mp4 support) to join them into one episode

I also thank all those here who posted the various solutions in the past. I just compiled them up here.

Doesn't YT lower the video quality though?

That's probably because it's highly compressed in YouTube format. The quality increases some when turned to .flv and some more when converted to mp4. Of course, the file size also increases exponentially. I imagine it should be fine when viewed in an iPod.

another option is to use firefox. download the videodownloader extension from the firefox website.

this extension will allow you to download the .flv file. then get a flv converter to change the file format to your needs.. or use ffmpeg (free command line to change video formats)

I used to use keepvid.com's service as well...until I stumbled upon VIXY (http://vixy.net/)

Like keepvid, vixy prompts you for the youtube link. But instead of just giving you the raw FLV file, vixy will automatically convert the file to you DivX, MOV, MP4, or 3GP. Pretty nifty.

That's an even better solution. Thanks.

Ok, it's not actually a youtube video. But a YT look alike pinoy scandal site I would like to save the videos but I can't find the temporary file in my hard drive. So I thought it's the same with YT.

I tried to post the URL in both vixy and keepvid.com, but both can't get the video.

    try this, www.javimoya.com

very easy to use, just copy the link to the video and save it as .flv, you can have another software to convert your downloaded files to other formats that you like, and they have added other sites to download from, enjoy
