    That too.

All else being equal, I like the PQ of plasma displays. I just don't think it's worth the extra electricity consumption from both the plasma itself and the additional load on the A/C.

All this means is that, you can watch twice or up to thrice as long on an LED TV compared to a Plasma TV for the same electricity cost. The operating cost should also be taken into consideration, not just the outright cost.

almost triple na ang wattage ng plasma compared to led *50". no good.

Exactly. If you have people at home the whole day, it's likely that the TV will be on for 4-8 hours a day. If you use a plasma TV under the same circumstances, it's like watching 12-24hrs on an LED TV!

Yung PQ ng samsung series 8 is very nice. I think comparable siya sa plasma.

un na nga sir very costly pa rin in terms of electricity consumption. maybe if they could produce an inverter type plasma tv. lol.

Plasmas are kinda like inverters already. Yun kasing nakikitang power consumption rating sa back label is the max power if all the pixels are lit. E hindi naman palagi naka on mga pixels ng plasma. Pag black yung scene, nakapatay yung pixels, so less power consumption. Unlike sa LCD, always on lahat ng pixels, may 'shutters' lang to cover the pixels sa mga black scenes. So kung ano yng nakalagay na power consumption sa label, yun na palagi.

Amoled works more like Plasma. Each pixel is an individual light source. That is why PQ is better.

Unlike LED LCD whare there is a unified backlight.
