Before the pandemic and when my phone was still locked, I use services like these when traveling abroad. I just order online ahead of my arrival date and pickup the hotspot at the airport on my arrival. On my flight home, I just dropped it off at the same kiosk in the airport. You just need to arrive early as the kiosk is often located nearer to the arrival gates.

Later on, I was ordering prepaid SIM cards which I still have to pickup at the airport, but just throw away after the trip.
Now, eSIMs are king. Nothing to pickup or return. Just order online, install it, and it's ready to use once you land.

November 14th, 2024 04:17 PM #5If you're deciding between SmartBro Pocket WiFi and Globe Tattoo MyFi, it really depends on the network coverage in your area. If Globe has strong coverage where you are, then Globe Tattoo MyFi could be a great option. You’ll need a Globe SIM for it, and if you haven’t registered your SIM yet, you can check out globsimregistration.ph to get it set up quickly. Both options are portable and can give you good internet access on the go!
