ok na ba to?
Intel Celeron D 346 (3.06) P3,500
ECS P4M800-M7 PM800 V/S/L/sata P2,300
------------------------------------------
P5,800 (plus memory pa)
ganyan din halos pag Sempron 3000+ and board e.
o bilin ko na lang yung P3,300 na socket A mobo?
thx!
pag nagpalit ba ko ng board and processor, kelangang i-reformat yung harddrive ko? me data pa kong kailangan dun e.![]()
If you don't plan on changing your operating system, there is no need to format. What you will have to do is to update the drivers for your motherboard.
With regards to the Socket A board for P3,300, what brand and model is that?
Also, what's the speed of your Athlon microprocessor? Those answers will determine if you need to junk it and buy a new combo microprocessor and motherboard.
I bought the ff last week to replace my conked out Asus MB w/ 3.0E Ghz Interl P4.
AMD Athlon64 3200+ - 4,300
ASrock 939 Dual Sata2 - 3,850
Since I already have 2 Gb of Corsair Twinx and a GeCube Ati 9550 Extreme Edition.
I was considering the Celeron before but it was only less than a thousand pesos cheaper and the Athlon64 easily blows it away in terms of performance and price. The Athlon64 is also so much cooler, even compared to the Celeron which is still based on the literally sizzling hot "Prescott" core.
I think reformatting is required, especially when it involves changing major parts such as motherboard.
No need to reformat but you may have to do a "repair install", search google...
If old mobo chipset is from the same family as the new chipset (e.g. same VIA brand) then you won't even have to do a "repair install", plug and play will take care of everything. But if going from VIA to nvidia, for example, you'll have to do repair install
Yeah stay away from Celeron D "prescott" aka presHOT core, it's very hot even when idle.
ECS KM400-M2 yung P3,300 na board.
Athlon 1800 ata yung sa kin e. siguro 1.1Ghz speed nun if i remember correctly. nasa PC Express kasi yung CPU e so di ko macheck.
pangit pala yung Celeron D 345. thx for the heads up guys!
e yung below na S478 board?
Intel Celeron D 315 (2.26) Box S478 P2,150
ECS 661GXM2 Vagp/S/ddr/u2/Lan P2,100
or
Foxconn 661MXPro SiS661/Vagp/S/L P2,250
P8K+ na kasi pag yang Athlon64 tapos bibili pa ko memory for that.![]()
If that is the case, then try looking for Celeron D in the socket LGA 775, instead of the socket 478 format. I went to every shop in Gilmore area just last week and none are selling any socket 478 boards, anymore. And it would be difficult to find replacement parts whether under warranty or not, simply because they wont have anymore stocks to replace or sell to you. I think LGA 775 are even cheaper than socket 478 and it will be supported for a few more years.
If you want to give AMD a try, you can try the Sempron in socket 754.
Btw, what speed is your DDR ram? DDR266? DDR333? DDR400?
i think s754 boards are earlier to be phased out.. so 939 is the way to go or better yet the am2 since yun na ang direction ngayon ng amd..
