Our 2 Panasonic inverter refs are still working. They must be > 8 y/o by now.

Would like to get a model that makes ice automatically but will wait until one conks out.

The 2cuft difference went to freezer space apparently.

We looked at several stores that carry different variants of the same ref. There were really small differences. On the outside they all looked the same but once you look inside you'll notice thicker walls on some models which made the interior smaller. We got what we knew was the one with the most room inside. No frost refs tend to have thicker inner walls, I noticed.

Think optimized proportions relative to practical use.
An exaggerated example of comparison here....
    Would you rather take a lot area of 100sq m w/ dimensions of 1m x 100m over one measuring 9m x 9m or 81sq m?[emoji4]

The Samsung ref we got with built-in AVR has thicker walls due to insulation ... Helps during power failures ...

No disrespect to anyone's opinion, sir. Years of 1st hand exposure & experience in various kitchens can give some valued perspective. He's now a domestic & professional kitchen consultant. Just sharing what was shared.
Products & brands do change over time. Unfortunately, programmed obsolescence seem to be modern tech's common pairing now over durability.

Speaking of AVR, ano maganda for ref na hindi naman sobrang mahal? Preferably may power on delay.

Stavol AVRs are like half the price of my ref.

For extra assurance I bought a Panther power on delay for our Samsung twin-door inverter. Mura lang naman ang Panther. Both still working fine after 4 years. Linis na lang kulang

Timer lang yun na idedelay ang pagpasok ng kuryente sa ref oras na mag-resume ang electricity from a blackout.
