Our old panasonic ref was 14 yrs old but malakas sa kuryente. Was very satisifed compare sa samsung ref na nabili ng sister-in-law ko, bumigay agad lamig after 1 yr. Now Ive got a chance to replace my old panasonic ref with an inverter and after 1 month, bumaba nga electric bill namin. So far ok naman inverter panasonic ref namin. Hopefully durability is at par with our old one.

Just bought an inverter panasonic too few days ago.

Yung pinalitan eh 12 years old condura. I feel malakas na sa electricity kasi madali na buksan yung pinto ng fridge and I think that's the reason bakit nagyeyelo ang bandang likod ng fridge.

I wonder too if I should buy an AVR for it. For now kasi surge protector lang ginagamit ko.

Before our ref was replaced, I was billed an amount of 7k-8k range. We have 2 window type aircons (1 inverter, 1 non-inverted) with 0.75 HP each.
After our ref has been replaced with a bigger one but an inverter type Panasonic, it 's now in a range of 5k+ - 6k+.
Aircon use is almost 24 hrs with 1 non-inverter used an estimate between 4-6 hrs, and the inverter one is almost 18 hrs.

Wow, almost 2k? Sana ganyan din kalaki sa kin. Kahit 1k lang mabawas masaya na ko. Excited na ko sa next Meralco bill. [emoji23]

I wonder this May, grabe ang init naka-todo aircon namin lagi..

    if my calculations are right,
    for those 2 aircons alone,

    (746 watts/hp x 3/4 hp/aircon x 2 aircons) / 1000 watts / kw x 24 hr/day x 30 days/month x 8.8 pesos/kwh = 7,089 pesos a month for the two aircons alone.
that is, assuming he aircons are always on 'cool'. and we know that many aircons go on 'fan' when the room is cool enough.

it really helps a lot, if the room is small and insulated from sunlight heat and other heat sources.

i have a 2.5 hp aircon, cooling a room whose walls are heated effectively by the sun during the daytime.
the aircon is turned on for about 12 hours , at night.
my meralco bill, including everything else in the house, is about 10k.

Anyone can recommend a good AVR for inverter ref? Do I really need it? Saw one online abenson and almost 4k.

I'm thinking I need it cause sometimes during typhoon out electricity will turn off and turn on few times before it will go completely black out.

My led tv and inverter ref I dont use avr because it is not needed as our voltage is well regulated. For sudden voltage surge or fluctuation I just pull out the plug once it is normalize i just plug it in besides it has safety device installed inside the inverter ref.

This maybe the answer to your inverter fridge.
PVP 2500: Panther Voltage Protector 2500W w/ Power on Delay - Panther

BTW my ref was also inverter but i don't use any AVRs or any kind of voltage protection.. When there is a blackout I have to unplug the fridge and wait for 5 mins. before plugging in. That's all I do when blackouts happen.

I have this panther voltage protector with power delay, sa akin sulit ito kasi you don't have to pull the plug whenever may brownout lalo na if pag madaling araw nag brownout sa lugar niyo.

Servo AVR is best for unstable grid FVR-15SC

Back to Whirlpool kasi malapit lang ang exatech.

Doc, I tried your computation, 1.5hp x .746kw x 2 units x 8 hours x 30 days x 8.8/kw, dapat 4.7k, ac pa lang, at the rate our meter is going, I estimate our total bill to be around 3.8k.
