February 11th, 2005 01:13 PM #73^ yeah sure Mugen. A lot of you people have whined about an issue from time to time, when was the last time you did something about it? What you're saying is NOBODY should complain about an issue unless they go on strike. That argument just doesn't hold up. Everyone has a right to say what's on their mind. So we're also not allowed to make opinions on the PBA unless we've played there? Why don't we just focus on what she's saying rather than what she's not doing? Maybe some of you are just afraid to face up to the truth so it's easier to attack her instead. Philippines is in a sad state right now. The worse part about this country are the filipinos who already accept the way things are right now and blindly say everything is ok. Corruption, lying, and cheating are now all accepted as part of filipino culture's morally bankrupt society.
This isn't the same Philippines that our bayanis died for. The Philippines that was deemed as "The Paris of Asia" just less than 30 years ago. The Philippines that many Chinese immigrants risked their lives and swam here because this is the best country in Asia with an economy that ranked #1. This is the Philippines that stood up to the Japs, they took down the Huks while the communist divided Korea and Vietnam. This is the first democratic country in Asia, the only Catholic nation in Asia. It only took less than 30 years to go from #1 to the bottom. It's even worse these days because pinoys now have a reputation of being good maids around the world. Philippines are now synonymous with the word "servants". Revolution always starts at awareness. Unfortunately, pinoys nowadays have a reputation of non-action unless it directly affects their wallet. The sweat of our forefathers that built this paradise went down the drain because of todays generation of pinoys.Last edited by jolog1; February 11th, 2005 at 01:17 PM.

Good point Jologs.
We as individuals can only do so much for our country. Fact is our country is in the top 3 most corrupt countries in the World... and soon to be # 1, and the sad part well we've accepted it as it is.
Nothing wrong with airing out your opinions with whats wrong, ika nga the truth hurts. There's nothing wrong with a good debate wag lang personalan.
