I haven't used Google Maps in a while. But, I like the new features. It's got a street view of our house.
It must be Tuesday. The trash cans are out.And that old Ford clunker's parked where it's always parked. He He.

It's got Sapporo, Japan too. I liked northern Japan way better than the Tokyo area.

If there's one place I love the most in California, it's Santa Barbara (La Jolla would be the second).

Yup,- the smoke from the forest fire in Santa Barbara can be seen as far as Simi Valley....
How about Monterey, bro? IMO, it's another place that is easy to love....

Simi Valley isn't really that far away, maybe a 30-minute drive from Santa Barbara.
The great brush fire east of San Francisco (during 1991, 1992?) was much bigger. The shadow from the smoke pillar blocked out the sun and we were visiting near Yuba City (north of Sacramento) at the time.
Monterey is also nice. Actually, that whole area between Monterey and Santa Barbara is quite nice. But, it's pretty cold up there. It's at Santa Barbara where the weather is just balmy enough to be pleasant.
Upwelling brings up the colder water which cools down the coastal areas north of Santa Barbara. That's why the surfers up north wear wet suits. The water's freaking cold.![]()
