new open-source browser
http://www.google.com/chrome/?hl=en
saw this one on CNN yesterday, to battle Microsoft's free browser daw...
but I think IE will still be the most used browser as long as integrated siya sa windows...
Internet Explorer: 73.81%
Firefox: 18.43%
Safari: 6.14%
Opera: 0.71%
Netscape: 0.62%
Mozilla: 0.11%
Other: 0.18%
What? Another browser? Hehe..anyway, the more the merrier. I'll probably stick with Opera for the meantime, but may check out Google's.
Wow... with an intro by Scott McCloud? This is uber-geek!![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
I'm using it right now to surf tsikot. Very simple browser, no menu and toolbars. Fast surfing is true, it is faster than FF. But it's a memory and CPU hog, it creates multiple threads as you add tabs
different experience naman sa akin nababagalan ako kay uninstall ko, install ko na lang ulit pag hinde na beta.
Heard about this from my boss. saka na lang ako magdownload kung marami ng tsikoteers ang mag-thumbs up.
i was gonna try it sana pero for windows pa lang sya.
in development pa ang mac version.

same experienced with shadow, ang bagal kaya balik firefox na lang ulit ako.
Noticed this one too yesterday on my home page. Probably will give it a shot pag flawless na, he he he! Meantime, I'll be sticking with FF.
Actually... if you open the on-board task manager (right click on the empty tab bar) and pull down the "stats for nerds", it'll show you a side-by-side comparison of memory useage... Sitting it beside Firefox, it takes just as much (sometimes a lot less) memory than FF... especially when you've got a lot of Java going. Others who've started benching it place memory usage between FF and IE.
Some display bugs, but so far, so good (too bad I can't use it on my EEE, which I'm using now...).
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
i'm using it now, and i guess its at par with FF.
wala lang add-ons. hehehehe.
each tab is a separate process. pwede nyo check yung task manager. pag may nag hang na isang tab, pwede parin makapunta sa ibang tab. walang epekto sa iba kahit iterminate yung naghang na tab. unlike sa IE or FF, pag naghang isang tab, buong browser eh affected.
re memory usage, sinabi naman na initially mas mataas ang usage ng chrome. but in the long run, mas mababa sa chrome kasi mas maganda ang memory management compared sa iba

What CPU usage are we talking about here? Virtual Memory usage or the Task Manager instant "CPU usage" readout? Because in terms of VM, Chrome is lighter than FF.
