Globe Telecom said Sunday evening it is working to address a "network issue" that may affect calls and text messages in some parts of Metro Manila.

In a series of messages posted on its Twitter account, Globe said the network issue also affects Cabuyao in Laguna province.

"(The) network issue ... may affect the quality of calls and texts," it said.

    Among the areas affected were:

    - Las Piñas City
    - Makati City
    - Manila
    - Muntinlupa City
    - Parañaque City
    - Pasay City
    - Taguig City
    - Cabuyao, Laguna
    - Caloocan City

Globe did not elaborate or give a timetable on when the service can return to normal.

"(P)lease be assured that we are doing everything we can to resolve this issue as soon as possible," it said. — ELR, GMA News

I guess they have separate bandwidth/circuit for push emails.... It looks like that it is not affected.....

Also, tried a couple of SMS,- they both went through and back....
