bali ndi po ako computer expert.. ask ko lang po.. kung sino may experience sa laptops.. its my first time to shop for a laptop.. budget ko only around 70t or less isa lang laptop nakita ko na pasok sa budget ko na branded... na centrino but makakakuha ako ng mas loaded na generic laptop for a lower price.. alin po kaya kunin ko? toshiba(php69,888)? neo(php65,888)?

iniisip ko lang kung ok kaya quality ng neo.. since generic ito.. and service kaya?

difference is... 1.5 sa toshiba and 1.6 sa neo... neo has 10gb more hd... neo has cdr... neo has built in webcam... neo w/bag. hindi naman po ako nagmamadali bumili.. so iniisip ko mabuti.. hehe sana u guys suggest naman po.. tnx

Sir, check for the weight of the unit. I have a Compaq Presario and its really quite heavy but all the necessary features and perks are there. Oh yeah, try to check for the battery on how long will it take without the power adapter, my presario has a maximum of 2 hours only and planning to change the battery. Service matters too, We don't want anything that would consume our time if somebody cannot fix our unit.

    AC,
I would go for Toshiba since quality is not a question, service too is available.

I have had 2 Toshiba's and no problem whatsoever, kahit nahulog ko pa.

Toshibas are good but pricey. Why don't you check out ECS or Fujitsu ok din yung laptops nila. Just make sure na may kasamang emergency cd with all the drivers in it. Kung gusto mo talaga makatipid buy online sa Bestbuy or other online stores. Just make sure na may service center dito yung mga bilbilhan mo dito and you'll be set.

teka di pala kasali to sa pagpipilian....

hehehee toshiba ka na lang.... some of my friends in here bought a custumized laptop (generic) and not quite happy with it....di kasi maganda ang tech support dito....hehehee

Suggestion ko go with the branded. All in all I had about 6 laptops, 2 toshiba, 2 compaq, nec and a fujitsu. With regards to Toshiba and Compaq, it's easier for me to get replacement parts (new or surplus). Fujitsu meron din pero medyo mahal. Wala naman nasira sa akin puro upgrades lang (i.e added cd writer, dvd, memory). I have a *suki* shop that does all the laptop needs.

BTW, heat will always be your poblem with pentuim 4. Even on desktops.

I think you're referring to the barebone laptops. If I'm not mistaken meron ang asus (saka ecs yata) nito. Ikaw magsasabi kung anong capacity ng hard drive, dvd ba o plain cd-rom etc..
