    based on personal experience:
    1. durability - matibay, kahit ilang bagsak na, buhay pa. (di basta-basta ang binabagsakan ng cell ha... hehehehe). di masyado gasgasin.

    2. ergonomics - can't think of right now. hehehe

    3. interface - userfriendly naman ang interface nya, parang nokia din, you can put it as list view or parang page view.

    4. ease of use - when it comes to texting, pag mejo new user ka, mahirap, kze default sya sa T9. pero pag nagtagal, masasanay ka din.

i'm talking about the SGH-V200 ha...

kung hindi rin lang clamshell or slide type why go for a samsung?

E800 or E700. Kung purely call/sms oks na samsung, kaya lang nga walang bt, which rather limits your options (connectivity|accessories-wise)

kung candy-bar type gusto mo walang samsung na maganda kasi clamshell ang magagada at yung sliding. why not try the motorola E398. it has good features esp. the MP3 player and new format trans flash card. may usb connector sya at SW! i'm considering to buy it! :-)

no ir/bt.... enough reason for me to not consider it...

unless you are just gonna use it to call or txt.

most samsung phones are clamshell types. lately they have the slider types such as d410 and e600. the only candybar models i know are x600 and c100.

most samsung phones are user friendly and well-built. standard package that you get when u buy a new unit : extra battery, hands-free cable, data-cable, good-quality lanyards, cd software. which explains why units are a bit pricey.

Tsaka maganda ang screen resolution ng Samsung, matching that of Sony Ericsson.

thanks for the replies. does this mean na pangit ung candybar phones nila?

naikwento kasi ng pinsan ko nung minsang me kausap syang samsung rep. binagsak, binato, binalibag, etc ung samsung phone, gumagana pa rin daw. if it were any other person, tinaasan ko na ng kilay....dun ako naging interesado sa samsung

i think they are fine phones that look nice and have great features for the money.

they don't have the history of nokia or motorola but they are definitely a good buy.
