Anyone experienced this? My original lightning cable charger for my son's ipad mini just gave up on me and had it replaced under warranty. 2-3 weeks waiting time so bumili muna ako ng class A cable. For the first week gumagana naman, but then bigla na lang hindi na nagchcharge yung ipad. Saying something like 'cable is not authentic and may not work properly'. I just don't know kung dahil ba nagupdate ako ng latest version ng OS or what. Similar thing happened to my wife's IP5, nung una gumagana, then after a while same na, not accepting the fake charger. Difference is hindi siya nagupdate.

If you're on iOS 7.x, most third-party cables will simply not work. I say most because, you can still find non-Apple Lightning cables that works, but it's typically far in between.

If your iOS is older than v7, the cable may have simply died.

Try not using your Ipad while charging it.

wezz - hahaha, i think this is the culprit kung bakit nasira yung orig cable ko. My son uses it while charging, tapos naka bend na sya pabaliktad.

Most of the time, it's not true.

The best thing to do is to test the cable before buying it.

If reliability is of utmost importance, get the Apple original or a licensed/certified third-party cable.
