Nope not working. Tried it. Measured it using ampere.
Kala ko kasi pangit pa power quality sa bahay namin and i found out na ok naman pala. Well tapon ung 1500.

We already have the highest electrical cost in the world and you are still increasing the generation charge WTF! How can you increase the cost by almost 20% in 2 months! Then I bet that they will pass on all cost for rehabing or repairing the typhoon damaged power grid to us consumers. Heard on the news it will be around 6.5B to reconstruct. Wonder how much it will add to our cost.
I looked at Meralco's website. They have a PDF file showing where they buy their power an how much it costs. For the month of Nov 2013 they bought from San Miguel Energy Corp 7.21 Gwhr at 15.55 pesos per kwhr. They also bought 228 Gwhr from WESM (whole sale electricity market) at 13.73 pesos per kwhr. Granted that this is less than 8% of the total power Meralco purchased from its suppliers. But how the Fing hell do you buy power at those rates and happily pass it on to the consumers! Other generating plants sold power between 3 to 6 pesos. This just shows that the govt WSEM scheme does not work.
DOE and PNOY pls pay attention to our country's power needs and costs. You need to find a way to increase our generating capacity and reduce costs. And pls stop taxing us to death with hidden taxes on electricity. We are charged missionary electrification costs, system loss, environmental charges, govt taxes and VAT. Every time generation cost goes up all theses taxes will also go up. Pls have mercy on the consumer and find some way to reduce our power cost.

maybe they could take a look at investing in "wave powerplant" sir. mahal kasi coal and geothermal. pag hydro naman pang rainy season lang. forget about nuclear.
Yung nuclear plant natin ginastusan ipagawa pero di ginamit! How idiotic!

Meralco rate hike P3/kwhr
Meralco hikes rates by up to P3 per kWh | Inquirer News
Balik na tayo sa candila at lampara!MANILA, Philippines—The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) will temporarily increase its generation charge by P2 to P3 per kilowatt-hour, the country’s biggest power distributor announced Wednesday.
“The increase in generation cost starting this December is because of the shutdown of the Malampaya Power Plant from November 11 to December 10,” said Meralco spokesman Joe Zaldarriaga in an interview over Inquirer Radio 990AM.
Zaldarriaga said the amounts presented are cost estimates because Meralco is still waiting for the invoices from its power suppliers before final charges could be made.
The power hike, he explained, will be a result of a “more expensive” fuel from the suppliers of Meralco.
“The Ilijan and Sta. Rita power plant in Batangas used liquid fuel instead of natural gas which is P3 to P4 more expensive. The impact of this will reflect on our generation charge,” he said.
He said the increase in generation charge will reflect on the receipts of customers starting this December and will last until February.
He assured customers that the increase would be temporary.
“Once the pipeline and maintenance is finished, we will be back to lower cost of electricity,” he said.
The exact figures of the increase will be announced Monday when all necessary computations are done, he said.

Well maintained.
