Heat index was actually 42 for metro manila. Tomorrows forecast will be mellow.

Monday and tuesdays forecast is 44 and 45 (heat index)

Strong easterly wind flow meant the normal sea breeze did not kick in for Metro Manila. If you want it cool, you should travel to the east coast of Luzon where that same easterly flow is moderating temperatures more.

That's the sad part about urbanization. When I lived there a long time ago, I spent a lot of time near the coast. The sea breeze was cool and refreshing so long as we were in the shade (like under a big tree). No need for A/C.

There were no coastal roads yet and Manila Bay extended right into the back yard.
