Anu recommended nyo na earphones (not ear plugs types)? Price range P500-1K

    Philipps
    Creative
    Altec Lansing

Though not part of the choices because of the cost, which among of these brands give better sound?

    Philipps (high end/expensive)
    Bose
    sennheiser
    others which you know

there's not much difference between your choices in the less than 1K range. they all have decent quality.

if you can afford it naman sennheiser is the top choice for highend models.

at that price range, the best na nasubukan ko at nakikita sa mga reviews ay sennheiser(mx400 or similar which is around 1K range).

pero try mo pa rin yong initial choices mo, pwede naman subukan bago ka bumili para makita mo yong hiyang talaga sa pandinig mo.

I'm using a Sennheiser MX250... bought it for less than P500... it's decent enough for its price (as compared to the other brands).

You can't go wrong with Sennheiser.

Philips gives the most bang for the buck. Even the lower end models are pretty good for its price. I've also seen Shure in some of the home theater stores. They're supposed to be good. Haven't tried them tho...

sennheiser din gamit ko, i think i bought it for 800 pesos. two years na sya, ok pa din.

but since yung question mo is hindi plug type, i am assuming na yung hinahanap mo is yung over the head or sports type. dunno if you can get a good quality unit for that budget though.

sir hindi over the head/sports type hanap ko. ear "phones" (yung may foam, whatever you call it nowadays).

eto ayaw ko kasi parang unhygienic - tawag ko dito ear "plugs"

Actually, in-ear earphones are best because:

    >it blocks ambient noise
    >you don't need to push your volume to the limit because 1/3 is more than enough.
    >very nice bass and treble due to sealed sound.

    ang ginagamit ko ngaun:

    Shure E5C and E2C.

E2C: very clear sound, not so loud bass.
E5C: very clear sound, wide dynamic range, better bass than E2C. expensive at 35k each though.

But i didn't buy these. I'm not the kind of person who will spend 35K over earphones.

with smartphone earphones, i have two, Nokia's in-ear and Sony erricson like in the picture above.

Nokia, clear sound, very loud bass (I'm not fond of big bass earphones because i'm afraid it'll damage my ears). I'm cool with superdeep subwoofers though like Sunfire subs.

Sony Ericsson: clearer sound, moderate bass.

both of these are short-corded because they are connected to remotes, so i use the Sony more regardless which phone i use.

to add, you can also wash the part that touches your ear called the earbud(?) since it's made of silicon.

the one that you don't like is a "noise isolating" version.

sa budget mong 500 to 1K, senns are a good choice pero make sure you are comfortable with the wrap around design of the wires (yung hindi pantay tapos yung isang earphone wire goes behind your neck to your other ear). theyre available in most malls.. kahit sa Music One nakakita ako.

i personally prefer yung mga "noise isolating" earphones especially if you dont want to hear any outside noise. ..and yep there not very hygienic (tends to have ear wax build up) if you lend your players/earbuds to others. otherwise you just have to ocassionally clean the tips with soapy water ;)

gusto ko magkaron ng shure.. pero mga 5k to 14k yung mga nakikita ko.. hay
