    my friend is thinking of getting a DVD player para di daw boring tumambay sa place niya.


    sabi naman, PS2 na lang para pwede pa kami maglaro, yet she can still view her DVDs



    agree po ba kayo dun sa suggestion namin?

    i'd still get both, kahit GH dvd player lang plus PS2. nakakalaspag ng lens kasi yung pagnood ng dvds sa PS2... nakakahinayang naman.

    but that's just me.

    depende, it will be more costly if 70% of the time eh gagamitin lang ang ps2 for dvd movies viewing. Mahal kasi ang lente ng ps2 compared to the cloned or generic brand dvd players.

    But if mostly ang habol eh games(around 70-80%) of the time, then by all means get that dang PS2.

    PS2 is designed for gaming. it can't play VCDs.

    DVD can play almost anything except of course PS2 CDs. and its cheap.

    PS2 can play VCDs and DVD movies... the current model PS2 even has IR remote control ready option.

    "shop" use of a PS2 is said to be six months.

    My first two PS2 in my shop (for rent) has lived and passed its first 6 months and have mo problem reading pirated discs so far.

    yeah, mura na ang DVD Player, kahit Apex brand lang. Apex brand you can get it for $49.99.

    PS2 usually sells for $179USD now. Minsan may kasama pang 2 games, DVD remote, one controller.

    pwede mag surround sound sa PS2 basta may receiver ka that supports 5.1 sound. the new altec lansing speakers have thx sound support and can be directly connected to a PS2.

    i suggest naman, get a cheaper DVD na lang and a PS2 na rin. well cyempre, depends on your budget.

    sir imo u can get an Xbox na way better ang gaming environment tapos lagyan mo lang ng modchip and some softwares for it to read p**ated discs and vcds. Plus pag may budget kana replace the harddisk wid a 80gig hdd i-copy mo nalang mga dvds mo as well as game discs mo di pa masisira lens mo.

    just my 2cents.

    mukhang may budget ka naman eh. just buy both. mura naman lang ang dvd player eh.
