Who has the best deal for broadband internet connection?
What are the packages and prices? Any links to their website?
I'm looking at options to upgrade my internet speed and maybe lower my internet bill at the same time.

I think it depends on your area, one friend of mine who lives in pasig gets great reliable service from pldt, while one from las pinas says it's crap: both of them have the 999 plan. As for myself, I use a broadband provider that's notorious for having crappy service, but since sa sobrang pangit ng service nila, ako lang sa buong street/phase yata namin ang meron, I get ridiculously fast speeds waayyyy faster than what i paid for.
for me Skybroadband bundle with cable tv service, kung available sa area mo.
eto plan ko
plan 1.5Mbps = 999/month tapos may discount ako sa cable tv service na 15%
ang gusto ko sa service nila
1. pag may scheduled down time either they text you or they flash it sa tv mo(dapat may cable box from sky)
2. so far mabils ang service nila pag may problema
Here's mine pala,
Digitel Bida Plan 999= 512Kbps internet plus landline.
No praises in general, sometimes if phone works=no internet, if internet works (blazing fast speed)=no phone.
Technically speaking, I will go for Sun. Main reason, is they are not yet over subscribed. The main internet pipe is not yet congested. This, if you are in Metro Manila area only.
Smartbro is oversubsrcibed way before they are still known as Meridian Telekoms. I think they have expanded but am not still sure if they are still using old base-stations for their access points.
Globe so far has the best route on the internet.
Price-wise? It depends on the subscriber's capacity to pay.
so ano ang speed cap ng globe for *******s? what if encrypted yung ******* connection mo kaya pa din ba nila detect to cap the transfers?
Hope this link helps re: ******* traffic encryption.

Since telcos/ISP controls the bandwidth allocated for DSL or should we call internet subscribers, they can do a rate limit on their side, thus, even its still ecnrypted, once the bandwidth has been fully utilized slowness occurs.
Exactly what I was thinking. When I was in China, the hotel I stayed had an anti-******* thingy on the in-room internet. I simply turned on my HTML ******* encryption & proxy software to by-pass the block. Download speed was slightly compromised but only by less than 10% of max download speed.
What I know, Globe would temporarily cap a downloader's connection if it detects a download going for too long.
