First Computer was a 486, MS-DOS and Windows 3.1, 5-1/2 Floppy Disks, 3-1/2 Floppy Disks.
Then our prof gave us floppy disks with a virus :seeth:
a:> format C:/q/s/u
di pa uso CD-ROM nun.
XT-clone(8088 without 8086math co-processor) with tubro, 2 5.25" FDD, no HDD, thomson colored monitor. and lastly a Stavor(not Stavol ha) AVR.
niwde, pareho yata tayo ng first PC aThomson din monitor ko pero monochrome green lang. And Stavor din power supply ko
Una kong nakuhang virus is (c)Brain.
Games na nilalaro ko: Montezuma's Revenge, Championship Boxing, 1-on-1 Dr. J and Larry Bird, and yung olympics na game.
Nagaral din pala ako ng BASIC.
My first PC was a Toshiba Dynabook 486 with 40megs of Hardisk and 4 MB of RAM, loaded in later with windows 3.1.
Apple ][ compatible
two Super5 5.25 inch floppy drives
40/80 column video switchable video
mocking board sound card
green 40/80 column display
joystick
epson lx-80 dot matrix printer
The first computer I used was an Apple IIe. It only had 32kb of ram, and if I remember correctly used an 8086 CPU (hindi pa 80286). No hard drive, you had to load the DOS everytime you boot, 51/4" floppy disk drive, green 8" monitor and you have to make the software yourself (Basic programming). It was really hard to use.
Later I got to use Wordstar (for wordprocessing) and Lotus spreadsheets when they became popular. But you had to memorize all the commands - no pulldown menus.
Home Use:
I had this Apple IIe in 1985.
IBM PCXT clone, in 1990.
IBM DX2 clone, in 1992.
In work:
First worked on a Tandem NonStop CLX720 from 1991-1994.
Then, Tandem NonStop CLX840 from 1994-1997.
Compaq NonStop S7000 from 1997-2003.
HP NonStop S76000 from 2003-2007.
HP NonStop NS-140000 Itanium 2007 up to present.
NSK, COBOL, TAL, TACL, DSM/SCM, NonStop SQL, Prognosis, Golden Gate E/R

First computer:
1. walang HDD
2. Boot on a FDD (5.25" lock by turning a key clockwise....)
3. Save files on a FDD
4. Monochrome monitor
5. Great MS-DOS commands
Later on save na sa audio tape (Sharp Computer.... sa computer lab sa school), and then HDD (5MB then 10MB then 20MB .....)
