DIY plastic moulding?

Is there any convenient, safe way to make plastic mouldings at home? e.g. replacing plastic handles, making your own plastic casing, etc?

3D printing looks promising, but i think it will take a few more years to become mainstream.

Try to check a rapid prototyping process, para din siyang 3D printing.
