Why not just leave your PC running and downloading the entire time? Some ******* software like "u*******" have features which shutsdown the PC once all the *******s are complete. That is what I do when I download stuff from ******* which includes entires series which would take a few days to complete (due to size and slow download speeds).

Agree with Ghost Hunter. kung 3 days straight man lang di pa gaano ka bigat yung kain ng kuryente, basta turn off lang monitor. standby mode still eats a bit.
I have been using my PC 24/7 for the past 3 years. I do once a month cleaning on the processor/mobo. medyo lumaki nga yung bill sa bahay. but 3 days won't make a big difference on your bills.
my total bandwidth eaten on smartbro/merridian since may 2005. from 288kbps to 384kbps only.

It's the PC i use just to download the *******s. It's what was on hand so it's "free". It's also modified to remain stable even without regular maintenance because I have removed those small fans and replaced with a single large box-fan and larger alloy heatsinks on items like video card, etc. The CPU fan is still there since it's dependable.
My main rig is a bit faster with an AMD Athlon 2400 processor.
Both are linked to a single monitor, keyboard, mouse and speaker which saves lots of space. I switch between systems using a keyboard hotkey.
