Tanong ko lang kung paano ibalik sa default display settings ang XP. Naghang kasi PC ko and naiba display settings nya. Hindi ko kasi maibalik sa normal(default) settings sa display properties kahit na anong ayos ko.

February 26th, 2009 03:51 PM #4Your machine could have booted up in SAFE mode and installed a default driver for your video card.
Find the proper driver and reinstall it.

Sir Aga_cruz, sir jonski says that his PC hang and definitely he may have restarted his machine, then upon restart XP may have restarted in SAFE mode and installed the default drivers. And if the machine have rebooted even on the conventional mode and still in low resolution then the video driver may be corrupted. Reinstalling the proper driver may fix it but if it still persists then there might be other problems.

right click on desktop - Properties - Settings
make sure the:
Color Quality is equal to: 32 Bit
Screen Resolution, slid to max.
Click OK.

February 28th, 2009 12:37 AM #8The next best way to restore your settings is to use the System Restore ability within Windows XP. Go to Start> Programs> Accessories> System Tools> "System Restore." Follow the wizard and go back as far as you can.
However, this will not delete most of the files on your hard drive. If you wish to do the best kind of restore, then you'll need those xp disks to restore its original condition.

February 28th, 2009 04:14 PM #10interesting. try booting from a Linux live-cd (such as ubuntu or Knoppix). if it's a hardware problem, this OS would also exhibit that.

Make sure system restore is on.
Click on start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore. Off the left a little bit it will say System Restore Settings.
Once you are there, there is a little box that says Turn Off System Restore. Make sure its not checked in.
