Get one made of real hardwood. If you keep it in good shape, it won't depreciate that much.
This one's a custom-built, L-corner unit in my den. It disassembles into smaller components so it's easier to move.
Regular drawers on the left bottom, Cd/dvd/small components drawers and sliding computer hutch on the right bottom. Most cpu's have been too hot for the hutch. But, I'll bet I can keep a C2D pc in there now.
We also have a conventional style, non-disassembling version in the family room. It's in the family room because it's too big to fit through any of the bedroom doors.
