Tried one of their LCD before. Admittedly I was hesitant but the price was simply too good. I was expecting done buyer's remorse. I was wrong. Though not the best, it served its purpose. Lasted 2 years then gave it away. It was just an extra monitor that's why I gambled.

You have to research each individual brand. For example, my Dynex 24" 1080p TV was actually made by LG. It's 6.5 years old and it's still going strong even while being used with a gaming PC (VGA), a Mac Mini (HDMI), and a cable box (HDMI). No issues with game lag, sound, or remote control.
Even though it's only 60 Hz, I don't have picture quality issues and have only the occasional screen tearing with a handful of games. The latter only occur at specific instances. Overall, it's as good as most PC monitors that came out a year or two prior to its release and better than some name brand ones.
