AFAIK, the OMB / VRB cannot confiscate pirated stuff once it is already bought by a consumer. they can only confiscate it off the merchants / makers.

I heard over the afternoon radio that they will begin confiscating pirated CD/VCD/DVD from those who buy them, they said that they can charge you under the anti-fencing law. I think the BSA(Business Software Association) also used this law with companies using pirated computer software. I heard Karen Davilla arguing that the drive is anti-poor blah blah...

malabo yan drive na yan if it is real.

PERO, if they catch you in the act of buying it, they can charge you based on the Anti-Fencing Law.

Napakadali kasing mangopya ngayon. Biruin mo, I could make a DVD for less than $1

17 cents yung blank DVD discs
    15 cents yung case
DVD and case labels from cdcovers.cc - free

Yung software ko is DVD Cloner which a friend bought on-line - free. Pwede den yung DVD copier na libre online (forgot its name).

Ang ginawa ko is nag-signup ako sa netflix 2 at a time for a month - free, blockbuster.com 2 at a time for a month - free and walmart.com 2 at a time for a month - free. After 3 months of free DVD rentals, nag-rent na lang ako at a local blockbuster ng 2 at a time for $25 (1st month at $15) - sa isang buwan nakaka more than 50 DVDs ako dito. Yeah, I know that it's a bad practice pero $20 per DVD is too much for an ordinary consumer like me! Nung nag-garage sale nga ako I sold 300 DVDs (original and pirated) at $6 each! Laking tulong since 5 months akong na-benched. Nalalayo yata ako sa point ko.... to cut a long story short, bakit yung user ang hinuhuli?

BTW, I could clone a DVD (kasama lahat - special features, audio/video setup, trailers, etc) for less than 30 minutes.

Maganda pala yung DVD copier ko (DVD Cloner II):
