have you seen the condition of his sigma 18-200? the matte texture of the sigma gets peeled off after some time and both sigma and tamron have higher chance of having inaaccurate focus. Test focus of the lens first if it is accurate, but the sigma 18-200 has good reviews.

buti pumayag makipagpalit since the kit lens and 50mm could be bought at less than 10k total. the sigma 18-200 is around 20k

    hmm.. 18-200mm..
    pros:
    walk around lense.

    cons:

    too heavy
    - not good for low light
when use the maximum focal lengths it become soft

    in my own opinion..
    I still go for kitlens + 50mm

pag di mo kailangan ng 50mm.. bilhin ko na lang. (opss nikon pala ako hehehe)

or benta mo yan lense then go to 24-70mm f2.8 gonna love constant f

actually the lens is sharp at 200mm, same as my previous canon. it is softer at 100-150mm.
i dont see how the kit lens will be better than the 18200 since both have the same aperture openings at the same focal lengths. only the 50mm is better at low light but then you are limited to FL, it is only good for portrait shots.
